The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Dr. B. Mario Pinto hosted 11 Science-Based outreach groups at the Science Odyssey Appreciation event which was held in Ottawa on May 12. The event was attended by students, researchers, and science promoters. Guests were invited to explore the room and discover robots, interactive activities and a 12 foot high inflated Coho Salmon.
As well, Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, presented the
NSERC award for Science Promotion (Group) to Elephant Thoughts Educational Outreach.
Science Odyssey, from May 6 to 15, was 10 days of discovery and innovation features hundreds of events where Canadians experienced this country's richness in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
